I item V ways

This segment is to show you how to style an unexpected item five ways. In this case, I have chosen a Vetements hoodie. I am such a huge fan of Demna's work. This hoodie is an homage to his time in Belgium honing his craft at Margeila (another genius). As a lover of street-wear, I had to make this hoodie mine! Sweatshirts are EVERYWHERE now in fashion. It's amazing how such a casual staple has become a luxury mainstay. Basically, street culture stayed true to itself, and now luxury brands like Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Gucci et al., have to deliver sweatshirts every season to stay competitive. I am sure you already own a hoodie (perhaps one too many), I am going to show you how to style a sweatshirt; from casual to cocktail wear,  to basically conservative church-wear haha!

Look I

Hoodie, vintage Levi's jean shorts, black patent leather boots by Stuart Weitzman, and red Vetements sparkly socks. This look is casual and fun, yet patent leather boots give off a hint of edge. Layer with a leather biker, and you have a fun bar outfit.

Look II

Hoodie, blue Christopher Kane sweatpants, and blue Sam Edelman lace up booties. I call this look 'Chic Streetwear' aka my daily uniform. Comfortable, yet sexy. You look sexy because you are confident, and you are confident BECAUSE you are comfortable. Simple!

Look III

Hoodie, Carven vinyl pants, Vera Wang motorcycle boots. This look is edgy, rock 'n' roll chic. Unleash your wild side and wear this look to a fun concert!

Look IV

Hoodie, vintage coral mini skirt, tights and Chanel shoes. This look would stand out in a good way at a cocktail party. Skip the tights, and pair the hoodie and mini skirt with a clutch to turn up the sexy factor. I love backpacks more than purses and this one by Saint Laurent manages to look party-appropriate because it comes in Velvet!

Look V

Hoodie, vintage metallic skirt, vintage bag and Marc Jacobs motorcycle boots. I told you a hoodie could be church appropriate! Pairing with such an ornate and elegant skirt, makes it instantly conservative and glam at the same time.
